MCCIA is a prominent Chamber of Commerce in India. With around 2500 members from different sectors such as Automotive and Auto Ancillaries, Electricals and Electronics,Agribusiness,Chemicals,Bio-technology, Envrionmental Technology and Information Technology.It is one of the most proactive chambers of commerce in India.
Since its inception in the yaer 1934,MCCIA has made pioneering efforts for industrial and economic development of Pune and Maharashtra in India with a vision to establish it as a globally reowned destination for Industry,Trade,commerce and Agriculture.Headed by a President,MCCIA is constituted by an executive Committee comprising of office bearers,members and reputed experts,and a Steering Committee to give direction and strategic inputs for the functioning of the Secretariat.MCCIA strives to proactively help members in particular and the business community of Maharashtra in general,in problem-solving and educating.MCCIA encourages them to achieve success in a globally competitive business environment.It creates Policy Documents for consideration by Government Authorities and gives constructive inputs for infrastructure development in the region.
MCCIA has set up India's first Auto cluster,Center for Electronics Test Engineering and Food Testing Laboratory at Pune,which exemplify Public-Private Partnership at its best.Amongst the list of other initiatives by MCCIA that have achieved stellar success,is the establishment of institutions such as Bank of Maharsahtra,Regional Offices of Export Credit Guarantee Corporation,Joint Director General of Foreign Trade,Customs Commissionerate And Registrar of Companies and industrial estates for SME's.
It is one of the few chambers to focus on development of agriculture and business related to it.All efforts pioneered by MCCIA in this direction have been geared toward adding value to agribusiness and providing structure and organisation to the agricultural sector.
Our most ambitious initiative ,the International Convention Center at Pune,is currently in its second phase of implementation.It houses well-equipped conference rooms and modern traing facilities that can be utilised by the business community.We conduct seminars ,workshops and training programs for improving competitiveness of industry.We render Advisory Services to industry in many sectors including Agriculture and Agribusiness.
We also organize interaction with Government officials, Ministers and Regulatory Authorities as well as meetings with Foreign Diplomats and Business Delegations.
