Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA), Pune has been organizing Pune Expo Business Exhibitions to promote Pune as an attractive investment destination. The main objective of the project is to create better business opportunities for industries.
  Pune Expo 2008 is being brought by MCCIA, Pune in association with India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), New Delhi, which provides wide spectrum of services to trade and industry for their growth.
  The first business exhibition was organized by MCCIA in 1995. It is being organized consistently since 2002 as an annual feature.

The exhibition is usually organized in February every year for 5 days covering Thursday to Monday. Dates of Pune Expo 2008 are 28th February to 03 rd March 2008.

The first two exhibitions were organized on ICC ground, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. The venue was changed to Agriculture College Ground for subsequent 4 years to accommodate the growing size of the exhibition. In 2007 it was organized at Engineering College Ground. The venue for Pune Expo 2008 is Agriculture College Ground, Pune.

It is an integrated business exhibition open to all sectors of the economy. Following industries usually participate in the exhibition:
      Automobiles, Auto Components, Engineering, Machine Tools, Electrical, Electronics, Energy, Information Technology, Communication, Banking, Finance, Insurance, Education, Careers, Services, Infrastructure, Consumer Goods, Real Estate, Agriculture, Food, Food Processing, Preserved Foods etc.

Hangars with world-class business exhibition structure are erected for Pune Expo. The flooring is made of wooden platform and it is carpeted through out. The ground is also covered under coir carpets. All security measures are taken to protect the booths and exhibits from sun, rain, fire and wind.
